We are heading back to Notodden this weekend for some rock n` roll. Friday 25th we do a gig at ARNO and start 10pm. Before we play there will be the local Gitarkappleiken 2011 and the winner goes on to be a part of Saturdays Grand Finale Gitarkappleiken 2011 at StUa in Notodden. Pål and Robert will be backing the guitarplayers both Friday and Saturday. Saturday Little Andrew and Ronny will be fighting as dogs during the Girakappleiken!!

Festival Weekend!

Friday October 7th we´ll be playing at Grotli Høyfjellshotell and the Blues Over Tregrensa Festival. We are looking forward to that, we also know there will be a lot of friends both playing and listening. So, come on up in the mountains!
Next day, Saturday October 8th, we head for Ørland Blues Festival and, for us, the well known Brekstad. This festival have been up and running for several years and Little Andrew closed down Little Andrew & The Blue Masters there in 2002. Now we´re back and ready for some rock n´ roll!
Both days we´ll be sharing stage with the great Daniel Røssing who also play in Chuck Berrys European band!

Little Andrew would like to thank Notodden Blues Fest for having us this year!! We had a fantastic time with you all, musicians and audience.
A huge thank you´s to Oslo Bluesklubb for having us at their house in Notodden! What a great gig we had together with you all. A big hug goes out to the lovely Nina Hågensen for playing harmonica with us, what a suprise!
Next gig will be this friday at Bucklyes in Oslo. The day after we visit Kraftfestivalen in Askim. Come on out!!

Summertime Blues

Summer is here and the band has got vacation until Notodden Blues Fest august 4th-7th. We´re playing at Tapperiet Friday 5th at 12p. Be there!
Last gig we had we played at Johnny Auglands festival Blueslaurdag in Ose, Setesdal. What a great place and great people we met! Hope to be back some day!

Crossroad and Northern Norway

June 9th we´ll be at the Crossroad Club in Oslo. My bet is that this club will be a legendary blues/rock n´roll club in Norway. They focus on blues and blues related music and gives blues the recognition it needs!
Then, June 10th and 11th, we´ll be playing at Codstock Festivalen out in the beautiful Henningsvær, Lofoten in Northern Norway. There will be blues, beer and fish walking hand in hand all weekend. We are looking forward to that!

Cruising!

What a great way to spend two days in april cruising down to Kiel and up to Oslo again listening to music, talking to friends and play. We had a blast! Can´t say how happy we are after two fantastic gigs on board the ship. Thanks to Simen Taylor for out of this world pianoplaying! We have to do this again!
Also thanks to JT, Petter and the crew for booking us! See you next time!

Saturday we played at Skedsmo Bluesklubb to top it all.
Little Andrew also did the first ever ladder solo inside the pub, great view from up there he says. Thanks for having us!

Color Line Blues Cruise ahead

This Thursday we are heading for Oslo and the Color Line Blues Cruise to Kiel together with a lot of friends from all around Norway. Simen Aanerud will join us playing keys! We hope to see some of you there!
Saturday we play at Skedsmo Bluesklubb in Lillestrøm. If you´re around, be sure to come down and have a ball with us!

No Grammy Award this time

Hi!

We did not win any Grammy this time. The fabulous Billy T Band won, gratulation to the band! Well deserved!
But, we had a great time before, during and after the show. We will be back with a new album in 2012, and who knows what happens then. :)
Next gig will be at the Blues Cruise from Oslo to Kiel with The Fabulous Thunderbirds!! Be there!

Norwegian Grammy Awards

Little Andrew is nominated for the Best Blues Album of the year 2010 in the Norwegian Grammy Awards along with Billy T and Eric Slim Zahl and the South West Swingers. The show will take place March 5th at Oslo Spektrum.
It means a great deal for us to be nominated and we are looking forward to be at the show. Just to be nominated is a victory. May the best band win!!

First. Thanks to everybody who showed up at our release gigs this weekend! We had a blast! Saturday at Buckleys stands out as one of the best gigs we´ve ever had during our five years as a band. Buckleys was packed as it can be and the crowd went nuts. Thanks to Oslo Bluesklubb and the staff at Buckleys for having us!

The release of our album Loadstone will soon take place in Drøbak, Hamar and Oslo. Check out the giglist for more information. We are really looking forward to the release!!
Loadstone will be shipped out on monday to all the people that preordered it. Be sure to check the local and domestic newspapers for revues. Some have already gotten the album and we´ll post some when we got them in hand.

Little Andrew´s got a new drummer, Robert Schei. A long time back Robert played with Little Andrew in Little Andrew & The Blue Masters. As years have passed he´s been playing with different bands set in Oppland. He´s a hell of a drummer so we are very happy to have Robert in the band! Welcome!

Last weekend we played at Tingvoll Brygge og Fjordhotell. Thanks to Omar for helping us out with the PA!

Saturday we visited Sauøy for the fourth time and maybe the last. Heidi and Tommy who are two of four people living there are about too move to the mainland. But, we did a great gig in the old fishhouse packed with people dancing, jumping and drinking. What a time! Our drummer also gave us a stand up on how it is to be a Taliban, priceless! The band would like to say thanks for having us and hope we´ll see you all again some time soon!

Finaly! All the tracks are ready for our new album. The new album will be called LOADSTONE. Little Andrew and Amund Maarud finished vocals this last weekend and all the tracks are sent to Peter Lundell who will do the mix. Eleven songs, from cajun, rock n´roll to swing. You just gotta buy this record!!

Hi folks!

This weekend we finished guitars on our record. We did not use any kind of pedals or fake sounds. All sounds made by

vintage amps from Fender and Gibson! Thanks to Amund for making it sound so incredible!!!

Two weeks from now we do vocals. When vocals are done we send all the sounds to Peter Lundell for mix.

Blast from the Past played at Oslo Bluesklubb and Kongsberg Bluesklubb this weekend. Thanks to both clubs for making this possible and giving us a warm welcome. We enjoyed every minute!!

Our national newspaper wrote something in their issue on Friday. It´s in Norwegian, but they sure need to find some sober person to do the writing!

Some news.

We´ll use two studios when recording our new album. In Molde we´ll use Bjørn Ove Hagsets studio for bass and drum. All other recordings will be done in Snaxville Studio, run by Henrik and Amund Maarud.

The mix will be done by Peter Lundell in Cakehouse studio. Peter did the mix on Rock Back To Bottom and we are looking forward to work with him again!

Updates will be published as soon as we have more good news about our recordings.

Hi there!

During 2010 we´ll be recording our new album and we hope to release it in October. The recordings will be done in Molde and some in Oslo. We don not yet have a name for our album. Check back and you might be the first to know. The album will be released by the same record company as the last time, Hunters Records Norway.
